Alberto Berman: "We want to be a brave team in all aspects of the game"

The new coach of the Granota reserve team explains the keys to his playing model and the identity he wants for the team.

Alberto Berman has completed his first week of work with Levante UD Femenino B before debuting this Sunday in competition against FC Ona Sant Adrià.

The transition from Femenino D to Femenino B has required adjusting the preparation to meet the demands of the competition, while still considering the youth of the squad. Alberto Berman explained that analyzing opponents and studying specific situations have become more prominent in the sessions: "We still have very young players, so that aspect of development is still present, but we are shifting a bit more towards the competitive realm. We focus on observing the opponent more, detailing situations so that they can be prepared for the weekend."

On the field, the coach wants the team to be able to respond to different scenarios and not rely solely on possession to take the initiative. He defined the idea he aims to develop with the players as follows: "A brave team in practically all aspects of the game, looking to attack space, defend forward, recover as quickly as possible, and be protagonists, but not only through ball possession, but by dominating all situations."

The new coach will make his debut this Sunday at 1:00 PM at the Ciudad Deportiva de Buñol, where they will face FC Ona Sant Adrià, the reserve team of FC Badalona Women. A demanding first challenge in which Berman wants to see a competitive team, regardless of the opponent: "We will try to adapt to the contexts we face and be a competitive team that stands its ground no matter who the opponent is." The coach approaches this debut with enthusiasm and trusts that daily work will allow the team to rise to the challenge: "By doing things well, there is no opponent that can be excessively difficult for this team."
