Dela: "We are eager to return home and secure our first victory of the season."
The defender trusts in the work and unity of the team
LALIGA EA SPORTS will return this weekend to the Ciutat de València after the break caused by international commitments. Just a few days away from that reunion with the granota fans, Dela has revealed the team's eagerness and excitement to return home and try to secure their first victory.
The defender acknowledged that, after the competition break, the squad is “eager to compete again, return home, with our people, at the Ciutat, and to secure our first victory of the season.” That reunion with their fans will take place on Sunday at 4:15 PM against Real Betis Balompié. A match that Dela assures “will be challenging” against an opponent that “handles the ball very well, and we will surely have to do many things right to be able to earn points.”
The player also spoke about the Levante UD locker room, something highlighted by the new additions. “It’s the key to what we experienced last year. We were, in my opinion, the best group I’ve ever been a part of; we all helped each other a lot, and the atmosphere is unbeatable. It’s clear that there’s competition, and a lot of it, and very good competition, but I think that’s very good for the group, and anyone coming in from outside has to integrate, but we help them so that it’s much easier,” he commented.
Dela is experiencing his first time in the top division and cannot hide his joy at fulfilling one of his dreams, although he acknowledges that, for happiness to be complete, they must continue working hard to change the results dynamic: “I’m happy because it’s the dream and what one fights for since childhood. There are many people behind this, family and many others for whom it’s also a dream. Hopefully, we can turn the results around. For that, we have to keep working, stay united, and keep believing in ourselves, in what we know how to do and what has brought us here.”
Finally, for that change to happen as soon as possible, the team needs their 12th player. A fanbase to whom Dela wanted to address to ask them to “push us and help us because it’s a very tough season and division. We’re going to need them.”
