Levante UD took to the field with determination, personality, and a clear intention to challenge their opponent from the very beginning. The Levante players took the initiative and soon began to create danger near the goal defended by Oblak. Etta Eyong headed a cross from Toljan, and shortly after, the home team came very close to taking the lead. A good assist from Toljan found Requena, who struck a powerful shot aimed at the top corner. However, Oblak responded with a magnificent save to deny the goal.

As the minutes passed, Atlético de Madrid gained more presence and began to approach Levante's area. Giuliano sent a ball into the box that Ryan caught without difficulty, while Kang In tried his luck with a shot from the edge of the area that went wide. Marcos Llorente also had a chance, but his shot was cleared by the home goalkeeper. Grimaldo was ultimately the one to put his team ahead on the scoreboard.

Towards the end of the first half, Levante UD once again sought the opposing goal. Roger Brugué, Etta Eyong, and Requena led new attempts as Luís Castro's team tried to find a way to score before halftime.

After the break, the blue and maroon team resumed the match with the same offensive intent. A cross from Nacho Pérez to the far post almost found Roger Brugué, who narrowly missed connecting with it. The visitors responded with a powerful shot from Kang In that hit the crossbar. Shortly after, Atlético de Madrid extended their lead with a goal from Giuliano. Despite the scoreline, Levante UD did not give up and kept pushing. The Levante players came very close to narrowing the gap in a play where Iván Romero recovered the ball, advanced to the byline, and sent a pass back to Etta Eyong. The forward took a shot, but Oblak appeared again to deflect the ball with his foot and send it out for a corner.

Luís Castro's team continued to look for ways to score, sending crosses into the box in search of a finisher and also trying to capitalize on set pieces. Dela took a free kick that ended in a corner, and minutes later, Marc Santos sent in a cross that Iván Romero headed, but his attempt ended up in Oblak's hands.

Levante UD tried until the very last moment, created chances, and kept looking towards the opposing goal, but they could not find the reward of a goal against a rival that, with the victory, moved to the top of the standings.
