Emma Holmgren, the queen of clean sheets in the major European leagues

Following matchday 13 of the F League, Emma Holmgren, the Levante UD goalkeeper, has become one of the great barriers in terms of goals conceded, not only in the Spanish championship, but at the level of the major competitions in Europe. And the Swede is already the goalkeeper who has kept a clean sheet the greatest number of times if we count the tournaments played in France, Germany, England, Italy and, in this case, Spain. The Uppsala born player has prevented the Granota team from conceding a goal in seven of the 13 games that have been played in the national competition, that is, in more than 50% of their performances.

Together with the Levante defenders and the strong defensive framework of Levante UD, Emma has made our team the second least scored against in the F League, with six goals conceded, only behind FC Barcelona (3), who to date have played with Sandra Paños and Cata Coll between the posts. Holmgren left Levante's goal spotless against Sevilla FC, SD Eibar and Sporting de Huelva at home, while no away goals were conceded against Real Betis Balompié, Madrid CFF, Costa Adeje Tenerife and Villarreal CF. Nor, in addition, in the first round of the UEFA Women's Champions League against Stjarnan.

In this event, Maria-Luisa Grohs, from Bayern Munich, also shines at continental level, as she has also kept a clean sheet on seven occasions but in 11 games played. Along with them, Kinga Zmemik has not conceded six times but across 10 games, that is, three less than those played by Emma Holmgren.
