Emotion and granota sentiment on the 30th Anniversary of the Penya L'Horta Granota of Sedaví
Iván Romero attended the meeting with this group greatly affected by the Dana.
The town of Sedaví was dressed in blue and red last Saturday to celebrate a very special anniversary: the 30 years of history of the Penya L'Horta Granota. In an event full of symbolism that brought together more than a hundred people, Levante's spirit demonstrated that its strength lies in unity and closeness to its roots, especially after the difficult times recently experienced in the municipality.
Gratitude and remembrance after the DANA
One of the most emotional moments of the day was the recognition of the club's efforts during the DANA catastrophe. The Director of Communication and External Relations, Puri Naya, received a bouquet of flowers from José Vicente Castillo, under the emotional gaze of Javier Zornoza, with whom the organization maintained a close relationship to channel aid during the most critical days. After watching some footage of what happened, it became clear that Levante UD never leaves its people behind, a commitment that the supporters wanted to publicly acknowledge.
"Paquito's" Birthday and the Warmth of the First Team
The celebration coincided with another significant date: the 94th birthday of our Honorary President, Francisco Fenollosa. The club surprised "Paquito" with a cake so he could blow out the candles surrounded by the love of his people.
Due to the competition commitments of the first teams, forward Iván Romero —who could not travel to Barcelona due to suspension— was tasked with representing the squad, greeting all attendees and taking photos with the numerous boys and girls present. Additionally, captains Vicente Iborra and Carol Marín sent congratulatory videos.
Institutional Support and Peña Brotherhood
The event was attended by the mayor of Sedaví, José Francisco Cabanes, and the president of the Delegation of Peñas, Ramón Escolano. Likewise, the Levante UD Footballers Association, led by its president José Bernabéu and members of its board, was also present.
The day was also an example of brotherhood, as the host peña, chaired by José Vicente Castillo (accompanied by former presidents of the group), invited sister peñas such as those from La Pobla de Vallbona and Meliana, strengthening the bonds that unite the entire granota territory.
The event was also attended by several journalists who regularly cover the news of Levante UD, witnessing a day that reaffirms that, no matter what happens, the passion for this crest continues to be passed down from generation to generation.
