Julián Calero: "I leave with a smile and feeling very grateful"

Julián Calero has given an emotional farewell press conference in the press room of the Ciutat de València Stadium. The coach wanted his “see you later” to be with “a smile and being very grateful.”

From the beginning, Calero expressed his gratitude “to all the people who trusted me” and recalled that, after his first contacts with the entity, he was clear that “my place was at Levante UD.” His gratitude extended to “the club, office staff, Pablo Sánchez, Pepe Danvila, Paco Fenollosa" and his entire coaching staff, emphasizing that “we gave it our all.”

The coach also dedicated words to the staff and players from last season and the current one, whom he defined as “my players.” He acknowledged their commitment, stating that “they gave their all, I demanded a lot from them, and they accepted it.”

Julián Calero did not forget the fans, to whom he dedicated a special message, admitting that “they have been incredible to me.” “Since our arrival, the excitement has been renewed. I want to thank them for the affection I have received,” he added. He also wished the club well: “I want Levante UD to be saved, to find the path to victory.”

Calero also highlighted his connection with the city, confessing that he is leaving “as an adopted Valencian because I have experienced very tough moments with the city like the DANA and beautiful moments at Levante UD like the promotion.”

The coach bid farewell with a “thank you, thank you, and a thousand thanks.”
