Levante UD and José Morales part ways after a relationship that began in 2011 when the player joined the Levante discipline to become part of Atlético Levante UD. The "Commander" ends his time as a granota player as a legend after achieving several milestones: the player with the most matches played since the 1939 merger, the club's top scorer in the First and Second Divisions, and being part of the select group of players who achieved two promotions to the First Division with the blue and red entity.

The bond between the Madrid-born footballer and the Orriols club began to take shape in 2011 when Levante UD acquired his services to strengthen their reserve team. José Morales arrived with bags full of hope, humility, and a dream to fulfill: to wear the first team's jersey. Step by step, with hard work, effort, and sacrifice, he began to write an unforgettable career.

The forward began to shine at Atlético Levante UD, with which he played in two promotion playoffs, first to the Second Division B and then to the Second Division. After his time with the granota reserve team, the player renewed his contract and joined SD Eibar on loan, where he achieved promotion to the top tier. He returned to Orriols to establish himself as one of the most important players in the squad. His dedication, commitment, and leadership led him to captain the team and become a reflection of the club's values both on and off the pitch. After his contractual relationship with Levante UD ended, he defended the colors of Villarreal CF, where he debuted in European competitions such as the UEFA Conference League and the UEFA Europa League.

With boots full of experience and his commitment and passion intact, José Morales and Levante UD reunited in 2024. The player returned to what he always considered his home with a very clear goal: to bring the team back to the top tier. The Ciutat de València Stadium once again resonated with the football of Morales, who became the team's top scorer and a key figure in Levante UD's unforgettable promotion to the First Division. A historic season in which he also expanded his legacy by becoming the player with the most matches played for Levante UD since the 1939 merger and the club's top scorer in the First and Second Divisions.

Morales himself, after achieving this milestone, summed up better than anyone what the journey meant when he acknowledged to the club's media that “the boy who joined the reserve team chasing the dream of becoming a professional footballer achieved it and did so at the club that gave him the opportunity to accomplish everything I have achieved. It’s the most beautiful thing that could have happened to me.” Words full of emotion that conveyed what the Levante entity meant to him. Levante UD had given him everything, and he gave everything for Levante UD. A bond too strong to break. Goals, promotions, dedication, leadership, and an unbreakable passion for the colors.

After more than a decade defending the granota badge—ten seasons with the first team and two with the reserve team—José Morales concludes his time as a Levante player with 377 matches played and 83 goals scored with the first team.

A legend, emblem, and symbol of Levante UD who is now part of the historical memory of a club that, together with the player, is preparing some action for his farewell.

Thank you for everything, José Morales.
