Levante UD visits the Pediatrics unit of Doctor Peset.
A visit marked by meetings, talks about football, and small gestures that bring them a big smile.
The players of Levante UD have visited the Doctor Peset University Hospital in Valencia. The delegation was formed by Jorge Cabello, Jon Olasagasti, Teresa Mérida, and Gema Soliveres, accompanied by Vicente Iborra, the coach of the men's first team. During the visit, they toured the Pediatrics area of the hospital, spending time with the hospitalized children and their families.
In the pediatric hospitalization area, the football players handed out Levante UD gifts, signed autographs, took photos, and exchanged words of encouragement with the children.
Player Jorge Cabello has highlighted the importance of this type of initiative: “for us, it is an honor to come here because we visit the boys and girls, which ultimately brings them tremendous joy. Seeing the look on their faces when you enter the room, so happy and so cheerful, is very special. And on top of that, during these special dates, it makes us even prouder.” On the other hand, player Gema Soliveres has emphasized the human value of the experience: “it is a way to connect with a different reality. There are boys and girls who live a completely different childhood, and we believe it is important to be here, to accompany them and convey encouragement, effort, and pride. Seeing how they fight every day to recover is very inspiring.”
For his part, the medical deputy director of the Doctor Peset University Hospital, Pedro Guillem, has expressed gratitude for the club's visit: “it brings tremendous joy to the hospital, to the children, and, of course, also to their families. They have been happy and delighted with the visit of the players from Levante UD, and we hope and trust that they will visit us again next year.”
