Levante UD Femenino continues progressing in their preparation for the new season. After completing the first week of work, María Gabaldón has positively assessed the atmosphere in the locker room and the initial training sessions led by Javi Aguado.

"We are very excited. It’s a transition period where both the players and the coaching staff are getting to know each other, but the truth is we are very enthusiastic about this new challenge," María Gabaldón explained about the first impressions of the preseason.

The Levante full-back also admitted that last season's relegation has influenced her approach to this new campaign. "I’ve been in the first team for several years now, and in the end, you feel that responsibility of having been relegated. Now, for me, it’s a very important challenge to help the new teammates understand what Levante UD is and what its values are."

Regarding the locker room, Gabaldón highlighted that "the new additions are people who come knowing what the category is, and that’s very important because there’s a big difference between the Primera División and the Primera Federación. Having that experience in this category is also very important," she reiterated.

If the first goal of last season bore her signature, María Gabaldón hasn’t given much importance to who scores first this season. For the defender, the essential thing is to contribute to the team in any aspect of the game. "Helping the team is already a pleasure for me, and if it’s with a goal, then with a goal; and if it’s by playing, then by playing. Whatever it takes", she concluded.
