The coach Julián Calero appeared this afternoon before the media in the press conference prior to the match that Levante UD will play tomorrow against Girona FC at the Montivili Stadium.

Despite the fact that both teams are tied on points in the standings, the Levante coach acknowledged that “we have not given the match a different treatment” and the week's work has been based on “placing special emphasis on things we believe are important for our improvement without which it is more difficult to add points. I believe that, as we improve some circumstances and important details, we will be closer to the first victory, which is what concerns me right now, achieving that first victory that will free the team from everything.”

Regarding their opponent, Girona FC, Calero stated that, in his view, “it is a team that will not be at the bottom. Normally, with the players they have, it will be a team that, once they start to pick up, will be where they have been in recent years.” Additionally, the coach described the Girona team as one that “tries to dominate the match, defend far from their own goal, maintain ball possession, organized and well-prepared, pressing after losing the ball… They do many things typical of a high-level team. To that, add the individual talents they have.”

The Levante coach expressed confidence in his squad and assured that “we also have good players and we know how to do things, many more than we have done so far. We have done some things very well and others that I did not like. I believe we need to earn respect by doing more things and finally playing a complete match.”
