Luís Castro has appeared before the media in the press conference prior to the match that Levante UD will play tomorrow against RC Celta.

The coach highlighted about his opponent that “it is a very good team, very strong, one of the best in LALIGA.” “When they were playing in Europe, they had some difficulties in certain matches. That’s when they lost some points. If they hadn’t lost points there, they would be higher up. Now that  they are not in Europe, they are one of the best teams in LALIGA,” he commented. For this reason, the coach believes it is important to “be at one hundred percent throughout the match in terms of concentration and commitment, which I am sure we will be at one hundred percent, but our levels of concentration also need to be at their maximum.”

Regarding Levante UD, Luís Castro acknowledged that he feels “fortunate” to have the team he has because “I am lucky to have good people, both in the staff and the players. It is a club that has chosen its people very well. Everyone thinks of the club and the group first, before themselves.” He also expressed pride in the players’ willingness to be available and fight for the goal. “Some are doing difficult things to be in the matches. There are players who are doing their utmost, coming for treatment three times a day to be able to play. They are being highly professional, and mentally it is incredible. There are players with injuries that would normally take three weeks to recover from, and in a week and a half, they are already there because they are gritting their teeth. They say they feel a bit of pain, but it’s not as much anymore, and they want to be there. This makes the entire staff working with them very proud, but also the fans. If I were a Levante UD fan since childhood, I would look at this squad with a pride that would make me want to fight alongside them,” he stated.
