PRESS CONFERENCE | Luís Castro: "We know that for the fans it is a special match"
The coach has appeared ahead of the match against Valencia CF.
Luís Castro has appeared before the media in the press conference prior to the match that Levante UD will play tomorrow, Sunday, against Valencia CF.
The Levante coach has assured that he understands what the match means for the city, although the team is focused on preparing for it like any other. “It is just another match to win like all the others, but we know that for the fans it is special. If we win, we give them something extra. For us, it is a match that you have to plan like the others, tactically what you can do, what is best, but for the fans, it is special, and if we can give them something more, we will,” he commented. Additionally, the coach pointed out that he knows that, for the fans, a derby “is a match that usually doesn’t just stay on the match day, it is experienced before and after.”
Regarding their opponent, Valencia CF, Luís Castro highlighted that “it is a team with very strong individual players, some players can make a difference in certain situations of the match.” For this reason, the coach made it clear that Levante UD must be “collectively very strong, be a compact team and play the match to win, knowing what we have to do at every moment and being able to hurt them.”
