Levante UD and Pablo Martínez part ways after an outstanding career in which the Madrid-born footballer proudly defended the blue and red crest, becoming a reference both on the pitch and in the locker room.

Pablo Martínez ends his time in Orriols with a figure that demonstrates his importance in the granota project: 155 official matches with Levante UD and 12 goals scored. A journey that began at the grassroots level and led him to wear the captain's armband in the top division.

From the academy to his debut in La Liga (2019-2020)

The paths of Levante UD and Pablo Martínez crossed on July 5, 2019. The midfielder arrived in Valencia at the age of 21 to strengthen Atlético Levante UD's midfield. His hard work and commitment quickly caught the attention of the first team, and on December 1 of that same year, he fulfilled his dream of debuting in La Liga in a match against Getafe CF. After playing 20 matches and scoring three goals with the reserve team, the club secured his future by extending his contract until 2024.

Growth through loans (2020-2022)

With the goal of gaining more playing time and experience in professional football, Pablo undertook two loan spells that helped shape his game. In October 2020, he joined CD Mirandés (where he played 38 matches), and in January 2022, he moved to SD Huesca (with 17 official matches). Both periods allowed the Madrid native to return to Orriols fully matured and ready to establish himself permanently in the first team.

Consolidation, the injury setback, and resilience (2023-2024)

Upon his return, he became a key player in Levante's midfield, leading the club to renew his contract in February 2023 until June 2026. However, football tested his strength just a month later: in March 2023, he successfully underwent surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

It was in adversity that Pablo Martínez demonstrated the true meaning of "resilience." After months of silent and hard work, on August 28, 2023, he returned to the pitch with his teammates. The reward for his effort came on October 7, 2023, when he scored a goal at Carlos Belmonte, the same stadium where he had been injured months earlier.

First goal in La Liga (2024-2026)

His influence in the club continued to grow. In August 2024, endorsed by the coaching staff and his teammates, he officially assumed the team captaincy, a role he carried out with pride and responsibility for three consecutive seasons.

Under his leadership in the locker room, unforgettable moments followed. On November 16, 2024, against Elche CF, Pablo Martínez joined the select club of centenary players with Levante UD's first team. "I am very happy to reach one hundred matches with this amazing fanbase. I hope there will be many more," he said emotionally after the match.

In January 2026, once again against Elche and on a magical night at the Ciutat de València, the granota '10' achieved a dream moment for any academy player: his first goal in LALIGA EA SPORTS, pushing the team toward a vital victory. His last major contribution was confirmed this past May 2026, leading the team through a tough season and securing survival with the support of the fans, whom he always described as "the fundamental pillar."

This will always be your home

With his departure, Pablo Martínez leaves behind in Orriols an unforgettable legacy of effort, dedication, and professionalism. His growth, from being a young newcomer to the reserve team to becoming the great captain of the first team, perfectly embodies the values of commitment and perseverance that define our club.

From Levante UD, we want to express our sincere gratitude to Pablo for his impeccable behavior, leadership, and absolute dedication in defending the blue and red crest during these seven seasons. We wish him the greatest success in his future endeavors, both professionally and personally.

You have left a deep mark on our history and in the hearts of the granotas. This will always be your home. Thank you for everything, Pablo!
