Somalia receives material donated by Levante UD via the Spanish Military Mission based there

The sports equipment donated by Levante UD, together with the FFCV and CD Castellón, Elche CF, Hércules CF, Valencia C.F and Villareal C.F has been delivered to different teams in Somalia this Christmas.

Let us remember that the Spanish Contingent in EUTM Somalia through the Defense Delegation in the CV requested support from the aforementioned clubs for the donation of this material, which was delivered on 7th October at an official presentation in the Defense Delegation.

The main objective of EUTM-S is to strengthen Somali federal defense institutions, but as has become common in this type of international mission, it is also currently involved in a civil-military cooperation project that aims to create a space where Somali adolescents and young people develop their attitudes and capacities through a sport as consolidated worldwide as football.

The training mission in Somalia is an organisation which is dependent on the European Union and, together with other international organisations, contributes to the development of security and the provision of basic services in Somalia, in a joint effort to improve the living conditions of its population.
