The first men's and women's teams of Levante UD carried out the traditional floral offering to the Virgin of the Forsaken this afternoon. An event that the Levante entity celebrates every year as a prelude to the start of the competition.
Players, coaching staff, team members from both teams, and a representation of the Board of Directors, led by president Pablo Sánchez, participated in this event, which was presided over by the chaplains of Levante UD, José Luis Sánchez and José Gerónimo Tébar.
During the ceremony, president Pablo Sánchez expressed his gratitude to the Mare de Déu for "everything experienced during the past season; the shared joys and the challenges that have helped us grow." Meanwhile, vice president Braulio Pastor asked the Virgin to keep alive the enthusiasm of the Levante family and to help them "respond with effort and commitment to the affection we receive from our fans every day."
On behalf of the teams, Iván Romero addressed the patroness of Valencia to place "our efforts, dreams, and challenges" under her protection, while Alharilla asked for her support to "face each training session and match with enthusiasm and dedication. May we support each other, rise in difficult moments, and enjoy every achievement together."
During the event, Roger Brugué, Adrián de la Fuente, Alma Velasco, and María Gabaldón, representing both teams, made the floral offering by placing a flower arrangement on the altar.
The ceremony concluded with the traditional family photograph of both teams at the feet of the patroness of Valencia.
