Levante UD and Unai Elgezabal part ways after two very special seasons in which the defender played a key role in an important chapter of the club's recent history.

The center-back joined Levante UD in the summer of 2024 to strengthen the team during a season where the main goal was to achieve promotion back to the top tier of Spanish football. From the moment he joined, his experience brought significant value to the locker room and he became a fundamental piece, both on and off the pitch. In addition to his sporting performance, Elgezabal left a memorable anecdote by becoming a true talisman at the Ciutat de València Stadium. The Levante team remained unbeaten at home in all matches where the center-back was part of the starting lineup.

Levante UD's promotion also fulfilled one of the defender's greatest dreams: reaching the First Division. In the top tier, he served as one of the team's captains.

Unai Elgezabal concludes his time with Levante after playing 54 official matches and scoring two goals. The last of these, a spectacular bicycle kick against Athletic Club at the San Mamés Stadium, was nominated by LALIGA as one of the best goals in the First Division for the month of February.
