The Levante UD Footballers Association welcomes its first female members.

The Ordinary General Assembly of the Levante UD Footballers Association, held at the Ciutat de València Stadium, unanimously ratified the entry of the first women into the veterans' association, undoubtedly a milestone in the organization's history.

The Levante UD Footballers Association (currently with 139 members) held its Ordinary General Assembly in the 1909 Room of the Ciutat de València Stadium. During the session, a momentous event in the history of the group took place with the ratification, for the first time, of women as full members of the association, and even two of them as board members.

Although nearly twenty veteran women have expressed their willingness, as of the date of the Assembly, six footballers who have defended our jersey have acquired the status of members: Ana Belén Wiergo, Ángela Ávila, Laura Belenguer, Raquel Cornago, Alicia Moreno, and María Fernández. The group was joined during the session by Ángela Ávila and Raquel Cornago, who represented this significant advancement in the integration of women's football within the granota family and even joined the Board.

New Sporting Horizons

The inclusion of these players is not only institutional but also has a clear sporting objective. Among the future projects of the Association is the organization of mixed matches, promoting coexistence on the field between male and female veterans. Furthermore, their arrival will enable the Association to participate in women's tournaments (one is already planned for the spring) or specific events for former female players when invited, with a fully capable team representing the history of Levante UD Women.

During the session, the key management points were ratified, and the work of the management team leading the group was highlighted. The current Board of Directors of the Association, which was ratified in the assembly, is composed of:

Management and balance of the entity

Under the presidency of José Manuel Bernabéu, the Board of Directors addressed the key points for the functioning of the association. The members ratified and unanimously approved the President's Report on the current state of the entity, the accounts corresponding to the 2025 fiscal year, and the budget for the current year 2026.
