Levante UD player Anna Álvarez has been called up by the Spanish National Team for the U-19 European Championship. The goalkeeper from Peñíscola has been selected by David Aznar to compete in the European competition, which will take place from June 27 to July 10 in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The national team's training camp began on Monday in Las Rozas, where the 20 selected players completed their first training sessions. After this initial preparation, the team departed yesterday for Sarajevo, the city serving as the official base for the team.

The Spanish National Team will debut in the group stage of the European Championship this Sunday, June 28, against Switzerland in Sarajevo. Then, they will travel to Zenica to continue their journey against Iceland on Wednesday, July 1, and in the same city, they will conclude the group stage against Austria on July 4. All matches will be available to watch on RTVE Play.

Anna Álvarez fulfilled her dream of making her debut with the Levante UD Women's first team in November 2025 against FC Barcelona in a dream setting: the Estadi Ciutat de València. In fact, she played her second Liga F match against the same opponent and returned to the goal against Alhama CF ElPozo. Starting this weekend, the Levante goalkeeper will have the opportunity to represent Spain in the major European event of her category.
