Heritage, legend, and commitment ahead of the match at the Ciutat.
The "Legados" campaign, the recognition of Ricardo Ten, and the commitment to our oldest subscribers have marked today's prelude.
The "Legacies" campaign, the recognition of Ricardo Ten, and the commitment to our oldest season ticket holders have marked the agenda of events at the Ciutat de València ahead of the match against Deportivo Alavés.
The moments before the initial whistle featured the launch of the "Legacies" campaign. A total of 34 people, representing 11 families, stepped onto the pitch hand in hand and positioned themselves in front of the first-team players. This initiative by LALIGA, to which the club has given its own unique approach, brought together grandparents, parents, and grandchildren; an intergenerational representation where all participants are club season ticket holders, including the youngest ones who already have their passes even though they are not required to due to their age.
The key moment was the conclusion of the procession with the appearance of a family that managed to bring together four generations on the pitch. With this action, Levante UD aimed to highlight that Levante fandom is a legacy passed down from parents to children, showing that the club has a social base with a promising future.
Subsequently, the spotlight shifted to our ambassador, Ricardo Ten. The para-athlete performed the ceremonial kickoff in the stadium after a season in which he added new achievements to an already extensive and remarkable record. This year alone, he has won Gold in the C1 individual time trial, Silver in team sprint, and Bronze in individual pursuit, in addition to receiving the Infanta Sofía Award at the National Sports Awards from the King and Queen of Spain. For Levante UD, Ricardo Ten is a champion of champions and represents the true #OrgullGranota.
The day also served to strengthen the "Tornem a Casa" (Return Home) initiative, promoted by the "Cent Anys" Foundation of Levante UD and Marcos Automoción. This project pays tribute to the oldest fans by facilitating their return to the Ciutat de València. On this occasion, season ticket holders Vicente Portero (88 years old) and Remedios Miralles (84 years old) were picked up from their homes in an official vehicle to enjoy the match with a family member. During the journey, they had the opportunity to share memories and experiences, in a gesture aimed at activating their memory and helping them recall their historic connection with the club, overcoming any mobility barriers.
Additionally, on the occasion of the World Rare Disease Day, Levante UD EDI player Asier Blasco placed the official ball on the pedestal to raise awareness for the cause.
Finally, the VIP Box hosted a historical exhibition focused on the era of the Levante-Gimnástico Sports Union (UDLG), featuring items from the late 1930s and early 1940s.
