Paco Cortés: "I am very happy for the trust they are giving me"

Paco Cortés couldn't hide his smile as he arrived at the Ciutat de València Stadium to sign the contract that extends his connection with the club until June 2028.

The Andalusian player left his hometown at a young age and joined the club in pursuit of a dream. For this reason, Levante UD means so much to him. His professional and personal development has been shaped by Levante's values, and within the organization, he found a new family that welcomed him as one of their own from day one.

Now, as he approaches adulthood, he has renewed his commitment to the club that he feels is his own. “I am very happy with the trust they are placing in me,” he acknowledges. The winger recalls the day he signed his first contract with a professional club. “I signed on December 5, 2019, and I was very eager to come here. I signed for the following year and I came for a week to get to know the club and the facilities, and I already wanted to stay, I didn’t want to go back home,” Paco Cortés reminisces.

The player, trained in the Granota Academy, has shared the locker room in recent years with first-team players. This unique experience has allowed him to observe, learn, and continue growing. During this time, Paco Cortés has looked up to many players, but he highlights two in particular: “Iborra, because from the first moment I joined training, he has always been with me, supported me, given me advice, and has always been there when I needed him. And Morales, who for me is a role model. I remember when I was a kid coming to the stadium as a ball boy, and I paid a lot of attention to him because we play in similar positions.”

Finally, the Granada-born player, in this very special moment for him as he renews his connection with the club, also had a message for the fans. “When you are a youth player at a club, you feel everything more deeply, and I feel that the fans support me a lot, they show me a lot of love, and I hope to repay them with many moments of joy,” he concludes.
