Sara Martínez opened her scoring account in the first friendly match of Levante UD Femenino. Despite the 3-1 defeat against Valencia CF, the Madrid native highlighted the positive feelings the team left, especially during the first half.

Levante UD kicked off their preseason schedule with a derby against Valencia CF, a match that, despite the result, left a positive impression for the granota team. "We knew it was a derby, not just any friendly or any match, but we have very good feelings. I think the result doesn't reflect how the game went or the feelings we had on the pitch", said Sara Martínez. "The team's work was very good, and we felt comfortable in many aspects," she added.

The midfielder was also the scorer of Levante's goal, which brought the score level and came from a set-piece play worked on during the weeks prior. "They went ahead, but we had a corner and scored. They set it up perfectly for me. We worked on it a lot with the staff, who propose the plays, and we believe in them", she assured.

Sara also gave a brief analysis of the game's development, marked by the team's dominance in the first half and the physical fatigue in the final stages: "In the first half, we had a lot of possession, we were quite dominant, and in the second half, our legs felt a bit heavier."

Looking ahead to the next preparation match, this Saturday against CD Alba Fundación, the midfielder expressed confidence in continuing to grow as the preseason progresses. "You can tell it's the first match, you can tell we've had several tough training sessions, but still very good. Now, three days of training, and on Saturday, we're going to win. We're going there to win", she concluded.
