Alejandro Losa reveals in his book the workings of elite sports management.
Losa presents "The Art of the Imperceptible" on Thursday, May 7, at the Ciutat de València.
The Ciutat de València Stadium opens its doors this Thursday, May 7, at 7:00 PM, for the presentation of a work that promises to change the fan's perception of professional football. Alejandro Losa, head of data at the Sports Directorate of Levante UD, presents ‘The Art of the Imperceptible’.
Alejandro Losa (Valencia, 2001) has a vision that combines the experience of having lived within elite academies —passing through Levante UD, Villarreal CF, and RCD Espanyol— with academic training in Data Science from UPV and a Master's in Artificial Intelligence from UV.
After hanging up his boots, Losa has poured his talent into science applied to sports. With five years of experience at Levante UD, where he currently works hand in hand with Héctor Rodas and Jose Gila, the author uses his knowledge to decipher how tactical, physical, and psychological aspects converge in a footballer's performance.
A journey to the heart of Sports Management
‘The art of the imperceptible’ is not a typical tactics manual; it is a deep dive into the inner workings of sports management and high-level academies. Through its pages, the reader will discover aspects that are usually beyond the public's reach:
-
How the transfer market operates and the real work of scouting departments.
-
The role of agents and the inner workings of a professional locker room.
-
The influence of Big Data and science in physical and psychological preparation.
-
The coach's mind and how the player's thought processes affect the final outcome.
Elite Voices: From Levante UD to the Global Scene
What gives this book exceptional value is the collaboration of top-level professionals. Losa gathers exclusive testimonies from key figures. Additionally, the work includes insights from experts who have been part of clubs like AS Roma, Valencia CF, Club América, or Minnesota United. This foundation is uniquely combined with the philosophy of thinkers like Nietzsche, Kant, or Aristotle, demonstrating that modern football and the decisions made within it are deeply influenced by contemporary society.
Presentation on May 7
The book presentation will take place on Thursday, May 7, at the Fenollosa Hall of the Ciutat de València. Admission is free of charge. Interested attendees will be able to purchase the book, and the author will sign it.
